The Birth of EFH

“What could it look like if engineering students graduated and followed Jesus in a generously radical way? And what if they did it as a community? Instead of one engineer faithfully living out the Gospel as they work on an oil rig or another engineer giving away 70% of their starting salary or a civil engineer designing new solutions for urban slum communities around the world – how could God use them to grow his kingdom together?” These were questions that a number of School of Mines students have wrestled with. After graduation, two of those students,Tom and Ashley Begley, began the process of forming a non-profit to explore these questions, leading to the founding of Engineering for Hope.
